Seems reasonable
Hyrule Warriors, theDynasty Warriors-esque action game set inThe Legend of Zeldauniverse, is coming to Wii U this year. And developer Tecmo Koei hopes the game is a big hit, obviously.
Speaking in interview withNikkei Trendyregarding the company’s goals for the upcoming fiscal year, Tecmo Koei president Yoichi Erikawa revealed selling a million copies of the upcoming Wii U game was among them.

“In addition to ourWarriorsseries fan base, Nintendo’sThe Legend of Zeldais also a very popular series with a large fan base, and I think it will become a great new market,” said Erikawa. “Because ofThe Legend of Zelda’s legion of fans overseas, we are aiming to sell more than one million copies worldwide.”
As Erikawa pointed out, given the immense popularity of both franchises, one million sales doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility. This project seems like a good opportunity for cross-pollination, pulling in folks from both sides of the aisle to experience something new. Maybe they’ll even sell a few consoles in the process.
