Cue Dracula’s Castle
When I say thatCastlevania Requiemis among my most-wanted games coming out before the end of the year, I’m not even slightly exaggerating. It’s a chance to revisitSymphony of the NightandRondo of Bloodon a modern platform, and while there are a handful of big-name releases left in 2018, I’m feeling worn down by triple-A gaming. I’m in a total “chill with oldCastlevaniagames” mood right now.
Like most fans, a huge part of my love for theCastlevaniaseries at large stems from its music. Itslaps. These games couldn’t have reached the lofty heights they did without their scene-setting music. A killer soundtrack can help make a good game great, and turn a great game into an all-time classic.
I’m smiling just thinking about “Dracula’s Castle” kicking in as Alucard’s adventure begins in earnest.

This double LP features 41 tracks from the game (including 7 bonus tracks from the Sega Saturn version of the game) all remastered for vinyl and featuring all new original artwork by Jasmin Darnell. Available on three different colorways: 2X 180 Gram Black, Gold, and Bone (limited to 1,000 copies), 2X 180 Gram Bone / Silver Swirl with White Splatter, and 2X 180 Gram Translucent Red colored vinyl.
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood / Dracula X (2XLP)
Featuring artwork by Oliver Barrett and pressed on 2X 180 Gram vinyl (Disc 1: Blue with Black Splatter and Disc 2: Red with Black Splatter).
Wednesday will also mark the return of the vinyl soundtracks for the Nintendo Entertainment System trilogy:Castlevania($20),Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest($20), andCastlevania III: Dracula’s Curse($30). Mondo expects these vinyls to ship in early November as well. Good luck getting your order in!
