After previously owning a 29.95 percent stake inMight & Magic Heroes OnlineandAnnodeveloper Related Designs, Ubisoft has fully acquired the studio. Going forward, the 65-person team will work alongside Ubisoft’s Blu Byte studio, who is responsible forThe Settlers OnlineandAnno Online.
Calling this move a “mutually beneficial evolution” of the prior arrangement, Blue Byte managing director Odile Limpach said: “This extremely fruitful cooperation can now advance thanks to the joint teams of Blue Byte and Related Designs more easily sharing experiences and resources. Together we will continue developing awesome games, includingMight and Magic Heroes Online, which we hope will become a leading free-to-play title for Ubisoft.”
