Date a skeleton? At least five dogs?

What if I told you there was a game that looked similar toEarthBoundwhere you could befriend enemies instead of killing them, and combat is a mixture of turn-based and aWarioWare-like mini-game. Would you believe me? That very game has released today on PC and it is calledUndertale. It looks cutely bonkers.

According to theSteam page, “killing is unnecessary” and you’re able to “time your attacks for extra damage, then dodge enemy attacks in a style reminiscent of top-down shooters.” Which sounds like a bit ofSuper Mario RPGand from the video, the defensive section looks like aWarioWaremini-game, but maybe that is just me? Apparently you can also date a skeleton; talk about getting boned, am I right? wink, wink, nudge, nudge

I haven’t gotten a chance to try the game myself, but I hope to give it a whirl as soon as I pull myself away fromDestiny‘s hot new expansion.
