Videogame food is hilarious. These characters rarely have time to eat with all the day saving they’re responsible for. At best they’ll snatch up an apple off the ground, or a whole roasted bird out of a trashcan. No wonder they’re all in such good shape!

Now that website GourmetGaming.co.uk is around, I wouldn’t mind eating like a videogame character. This site takes game food and makes it real, with real recipes that teach you how to make the dishes yourself. Some of the recreations are really inspired. Try theChristmas Special Drink & Nibbles:Skyrim– Black-Briar Mead, Grilled Leeks & Elsweyr Fondue. And for desert, theKey Lime PiefromThe Sims.

What I like is that these aren’t some crap recipes that tell you to open a can and dump it on something. TakeSonic’s Chili Dog, for example. The meat sauce for the dog sounds delicious! I also really like how the food photos look a lot like the original game images. You’ve got to love theMinecraftcake, shown above.
