No matter what content you decide to spend time on inWuthering Waves, Echoes are always an important aspect of progression you cannot ignore. While you don’t need to farm them to be viable, you do get a lot more nuance over your stats, which makes farming them entirely worthwhile.

What Echoes should you farm inWuthering Waves?

As you probably already know, Echoes come from pretty much every enemy in the game, and every enemy drops a different type. There are three different classifications of enemies and, therefore, three different types of Echoes you’re able to get.

Your priority Echo farm should focus on theElite Class first and foremost. The reasoning is that Elite Class Echoes are the only types that can come with an Element DMG% main stat. This is extraordinarily important if you want to squeeze out as much damage as possible from your characters, and if you want to run the ‘4,3,3,1,1’ Echo configuration, which you should if you’re able to. Elite Class enemies are the rarest enemies in the game, and they are also very much finite, meaning you can kill all of them in the overworld. If you still need to farm more, you’ll have to wait untilWuthering Waves’daily reset to continue.

Next, prioritize monsters from theOverload Class, as they provide the next most important set of stats: CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate. Overload Class monsters are the only ones that can contain these stats, and they are highly valuable for maxing damage output. Since Overload Class monsters are all bosses, they can beinfinitely farmed. The only caveats are that you have towait one minute after every killand each kill isnot guaranteedto drop an Echo.

Finally, the monsters from theCommon Classare the lowest priority on your list. These monsters can only come with a few different main stats, but the most important one is ATK%, 95% of the time. While these monsters are also finite, there are a ton of them in the overworld, and you’ll have a hard time killing all of them off due to this fact. Technically, you should never need to farm these if you’re killing them while hunting Elite Class monsters. They are spread out all over the place.

How to Target Farm Echoes inWuthering Waves

In the event that you need to target specific monsters to hunt down during your priority grind, you can utilize theData Bankin theTerminal Menu.

The Data Bank serves as your Echo Pokedex, allowing you to view every type of monster you’ve caught. It also allows you to pinpoint monsters in the overworld, which is an incredibly useful tool especially if you’re after a certain Echo’s ability.

For example, say you’re a fan of the Cyan-Feathered Heron’s active ability and want to get one with a good assortment of stats along with an Aero Element% main stat. You can target farm the Cyam-Feathered Heron, assuming you’ve already encountered and caught one prior, by selecting theEcho Gallerytab in the Data Bank, and clicking theTrackbutton at the bottom right.

Doing this will open your overworld map and show you the exact location of where you may find a Cyan-Feathered Heron. From here, all you need to do is go over to it and kill it.

Cyan Heron in Wuthering Waves

Once you do, your Data Bank will automatically target the next closest Cyan-Feathered Heron until all of them are dead. As mentioned before, if you want to farm more, you’ll wait for the daily reset. This process can be used forevery Echo in the game, so you may always prioritize specific Echoes whenever needed.
