It’s time to get the oldDestinygang back together.
Ahead ofDestiny 2‘s console launch on September 6, Bungie has openedclan creation and searchingon its website. You can pick out your clan name, shorthand name, motto, and a “phrase or slogan that represents your clan’s culture.” There’s a banner editor, too. (I can’t wait to see what y’all come up with.)
The studio also updated theDestinycompanion appon iOS and Android.
If you encounter any weirdness in the app, Bungie islooking into it.
Bungie has also starting showing off the European Dead Zone, one of the game’s main destinations. This video details some of the time-killing, loot-earning activities you’ll be able to experience on Earth, like finding and exploring Lost Sectors or taking on Adventures (the one depicted here involves destroying some generators and anti-air turrets). The footage looks like a decent step up fromDestiny‘s open-world stuff, but I’m sure some of the more nuanced changes are lost on me.
I’m mildly excited to playDestiny 2, but I’m not looking forward to the extra wait for the PC version.
